I’d really love to lean on God,
or just ’bout anyone, for that matter,
but at the end of hell’s own cattle prod
it’s up to me that I don’t shatter.
The Lord’s real busy, I get that,
and the world’s a flamin’ mess,
so in my life I wear His hat,
and what He’d do, try to guess.
I’m used to being on my own,
in places that the heart forgot,
and facing cancer all alone
just uses what my life has brought.
Still and all, it’s quite a test,
but I guess God thought I was the best.
You are not all alone, Andrew. Your friends stand with you in prayer.
