God and man might be happy together again.”

  1. To see God made a human being
    was, perhaps, a glorious turn,
    but remember, what you’re seeing
    is like you’d change into a worm.
    His brain moves at the speed of heat
    and then He had to throttle back
    to match apostles’ aching feat
    and disciples’ weary backs.
    He didn’t have to drop this far;
    He didn’t owe the price He’d pay,
    but underneath that guiding star
    He came, and did it anyway.
    But I’m sure, when He was done,
    He turned to Dad and said, “Not fun.”

      I’ve never thought about Christ’s energy as engine power . . . He’s greater than a rocket, and I’m a decrepit Yugo!

  2. Nah, you’re an E-Type Jaguar, Series 2. Best of the line, elegant, classy.

      Thank you! I like the idea of being classy; elegant, not so much–rustic is more my style. I read that “jaguar” means “beast of prey.” I prefer “of prayer.”
