Owed and Paid

Is Christmas costing you too much?

Think what it cost Jesus.

Philippians 2:7-8 (MEV)
But He emptied Himself,
taking upon Himself the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men.
And being found in the form of a man,
    He humbled Himself
    and became obedient to death,
        even death on a cross.

Jesus paid it all! All I have I owe to Him.

  1. Christmas doesn’t cost me much
’cause all I give is Love,
and that sits OK with friends and such
and I hope with God above.
I really do not have the scratch
    to hand out shiny baubles,
    nor desire to overmatch
    folks with lots more rubles.
I dropped the gifting on its head
    when it became a competition,
    and offer heartfelt prayers instead,
    far beyond the Yuletide season.
True, some people think me preachy,
but to me that’s all fine and peachy.

Always wanted to find a place to say, ‘peachy’.
