2 Corinthians 10:5 (ESV)
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
Imagine taking your own ungodly thoughts, along with those of our culture, and perp-walking them straight into the light of God’s glorious truth.
I like to think my thoughts are free,
and that I am a dancer,
but when I have to look at me,
it’s there I see a hamster
running on his magic wheel
and going nowhere, really fast,
and trying to not ever feel
that he must face up at last.
Eventually, for me and all,
the pace must slow, then pause,
so we may answer heaven’s call
and face its Godly laws.
But no reason to be scared, nor bitter,
for God is fond of little critters.
Indeed, Andrew, “God is fond of little critters”–thee and me, and the rest of his creation.
