Dream On

Your dreams come from
(   fill in the blank  )?

  • Last night’s pizza
  • My brain chasing itself
  • God

Options 1 or 2, you say? Don’t leave God out.

Joel 2:28-29 (Acts 2:17-18)
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Sons, daughters, old, young, men, women–you’re on the list. Dreamed any good dreams lately?

  1. I dreamed a dream of Heaven’s Gate,
all nice and tall and white and pearly,
but I never dreamed my fate
would be to get there early.
There’s so much I have left to do
    that will now remain undone,
and, “Hey God, I am not through!”
    does not grasp His attention.
    Whatever reasoning He’s used,
    I think the algorithm may be flawed;
what I could have done, He may have approved
(and yeah, some that should be outlawed).
    But I won’t be mad, I don’t think,
so long as the Big Guy buys the drinks.
