It’s Simple: Read the Directions

Do you think the Bible is too big and too hard for you to understand?

It is God’s roadmap for your life. You don’t have to read the whole map at once. Get in the habit of reading a little bit every day. It’s better to read and think about a verse or two than do a whole page and forget what you’ve read.

Don’t know where to start? Try John. You’ll find lots of wisdom packed into a few verses.

  1. I tried to read the Bible once;
    sure has a lot of words.
    Made me feel bit like a dunce;
    all them prophets came in herds.
    But I met a bonza bloke,
    Jesus was His name,
    I underlined the words He spoke
    on His way to fame.
    There were times when I creid,
    like when His mates ran off,
    and then, of course, when He died,
    but He had the last big laugh.
    To the Ezekiels and Lots I don’t pay heed;
    the Carpenter is all I need.
