Wrong Way

Matthew 6:13 (NIV)
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

Every time you repeat the Lord’s Prayer, you’re asking God to post His Wrong Way signs on your journey of faith. Miss a Wrong Way sign on the highway, and you’re headed for a ticket at best or an accident at worst.

What happens when you miss God’s Wrong Way notice?

  1. So often I’ve gone the wrong way,
thinking I was in the right,
and prayed for a new bright day
to put an end to night.
    I’ve thought myself so righteous
    and correct in all respects;
with this the devil will delight us
    ’till God our heart rejects.
His quiet ways can be dull,
    devoid of shock and awe,
and lack the cool demonic pull
of a life outside the law.
But in the end it’s foolish trade,
    burning hell for Ps.23 glade.

Me too, Andrew. I’ve gone the wrong way, thinking I was right. We are in good company–Saul thought he was rightfully on the road to Damascus.
