He shapes it with planes and marks it with a compass. Beware — don’t worship the work of your own hands.

The Bible — sharper than your finest saw, more powerful than your cordless drill or your pneumatic nail gun. Always the best tool for the job. 
You’re part of God’s household.
Ephesians 2:19-21 (ESV)
You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
You’re a soul under construction, growing into a holy temple.

Ever noticed how quickly some folks change their values to line up with the shifting sands of popular culture? They remind me of this Bible passage:
Matthew 7:26-27 (VOICE)
You are like a fool who builds a house on sand. When a storm comes to his house, what will happen? The rain will fall, the waters will rise, the wind will blow, and his house will collapse with a great crash.
Not to say you never find a faulty stone in your otherwise good foundation, thoughtfully remove it and replace it with a better stone.
