Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
I’ve already lived parts of it, and I kinda know how it ends. There’s more to come that I don’t yet know.
Surprise me, God.
Good morning, Lord. You know my story, beginning to eternal end. Unfold it before me, page by page, season by season. May You be part of every day, let me see You in every situation. Fill me with gratitude for the past and teach me to trust You for the future.
Love the part about teaching me to trust our Lord for the future. This is something I struggle with on a daily basis. Thank you for this prayer, and just maybe I will learn to put more trust in our Lord.
I look back and think (like the song says), I’ve come this far by faith. It boosts my faith going forward.
Ps 139 has been popping up over and over for me this year. So your prayer was like a hug from my best friend. 🤗 “Good morning Lord” is something I’m trying to say, even before my eyes open. I try to bookend my days with “Good morning, Lord” and “Good night, God.” Prayer eases the transition between awake and asleep.
