Sometimes life is scary.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
We don’t have go it alone. God walks beside us.
Good morning, Lord. You are right beside me, holding my hand, through good times and bad. When things are hard, I often wish You’d whisk me to a better place, but no — You stick with me through the muck and mess. You lift me up when I fall and You hold me back when I’m about to plunge over the edge. Forgive my whining, God. I’m grateful for Your right hand holding mine.


This verse became my battle cry during my cancer treatment. There were nights in the hospital when I would lift my arm in the air, and I could feel him take hold of my hand. He stayed with me during the operation, the recovery, the chemo, the year of maintenance treatments, and I felt Him holding my hand as I rang that bell. Today I know I am BLESSED, and I am overjoyed to tell anyone who will listen to my testimony of GOD and HIS goodness while he stands next to me, holding my hand…
