The Hollow of God’s Hand

This week, we’re going to focus on God’s hand. There are over a thousand references to “God’s hand” in Scripture — trust me, we aren’t going to look at all of them. This one from Isaiah is a good starting point.

Isaiah 40:12 (NIV)

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?

At best, I can manage a couple teaspoons in the hollow of my hand. God measures the oceans in His.

Good morning, Lord. You can hold the oceans in Your hand … that puts Your control in perspective. My biggest and best is nothing in comparison to Your power. Teach me to put my trust in the right place.
