Goodbye Procrastination, Hello Diligence

It’s time to deal with my bad habits. Let’s start with procrastination (even though I’d rather put it off).

Proverbs 6:10-11 (NKJV)
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest,
and poverty will come upon you like a robber,
and want like an armed man.

What goes in place of procrastination? I’ll aim for diligence.

2 Peter 1:5
… giving all diligence, add to your faith …

Lord, You know how I put things off. Let’s put an end to it, right here, right now. Equip me with the diligence to start promptly, work carefully and finish the job.

Somehow I think God is quite lenient in suggesting that 94 year-olds should avoid sleeping and resting. At least I hope so. However, sometimes we still need to be told not to procrastinate!

Shirlee, this is exactly what I needed, especially given the extensive memorization, reading, and understanding required for to succeed in my upcoming Board exam. Your straightforwardness and your prayers that align with my own mean a lot to me. Shirlee, please continue your journey guided by your faith. Your dedication to living a life centered around Jesus is truly inspirational, and I find myself deeply inspired by you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts to everyone! Keep moving for Jesus.
