Cherish the Cross

We finished Holy Week, with it’s focus on the cross of Christ. What will you do with the cross, today and all the days till next Easter?

        • Truth be told, I don’t think about it all that much
        • We see it in the sanctuary every Sunday
        • I think about the cross every day

The best answer comes from an old hymn. We sang it at this year’s Easter service:

“So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
till my trophies at last I lay down.”
George Bennard, 1913
“The Old Rugged Cross”

Cherish the cross? Every day till I die–what a plan! I may fall short, but that’s the goal.
