Put the Plague on Pause

Here’s an Old Testament plague story. King David knowingly disobeyed God, and there were consequences–with a limit set by God:

1 Chronicles 21:14-15  (NIV)
So the Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead . . . the Lord saw it and relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.”

The angel hit the pause button.

Let this be enough, Lord! Hear our prayer, in Jesus’ name.

Yes Shirlee! I enjoyed reading your comments on P31, speaking truth in an easy to understand, gentle way! I look forward to your emails each day, knowing they will be the same. I have appreciated your honesty and simple words, many times realizing I didn’t know “it meant that”, smiling and sending you a big hug. Thank you for sharing your talent each day, helping someone like me see the truth so simply, now believe and apply! I’m not very good at commenting and tend to shy away but today I just wanted to try to say thank you! Your prayer made me smile!
