The Day After the Night Before

Advent is over.
Christmas has passed.
How does that feel?

  • A let-down
  • A respite
  • A return to the routine

Thank God.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning.

  1. In the calendar of Christians
    there can be no special days.
    This meets pagan resistance,
    but this the Good Book says:
    Say yes when you mean it,
    say no when it must be done.
    Give Caesar his peanut,
    and keep your eyes unto the Son.
    Jesus Christ, He is the same
    yesterday unto eternity;
    no ritual will bless His name
    nor offer a saved certainty.
    Burn the wrappings and the tree,
    and, oh Lord, abide with me!
