I apologize for the interruption in my Advent posts. Heavy snow brought down our power and internet connection. It was, however, supremely quiet and beautiful.

I KEEP IT SHORT & SIMPLE.
Why?Almost half of American adults read below high school level. God looks at your heart, not your reading skills. Big faith can be built on simple words.

This morning I in joy beheld
the gentle benison of falling now;
with silent nature I did meld,
and then the power had to go.
I should have bought some batteries
for the five-cell torches,
so I went to neighbours, “Pretty please?”
standing humble on their porches.
One here, one there, and house to house
enough were thus collected
in smiling grace (though some did grouse)
and then I almost genuflected.
I stood upon my snowy lawn,
bathed in light – “The power’s on!”
Your blizzard trick-or-treat (also known as “if you don’t share, I’ll move in with you”).
You got it!
“…and I’ll bring the dogs.”
