Destructive Thoughts

2 Corinthians 10:4 (ESV)
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

What are the strongholds of our era?

  • We don’t need God
  • We know it all
  • We can be anything we want
  • It’s up to us to save the planet

Our enemy devises strongholds to bring us down and demolish our faith. With divine power, we can destroy them before they destroy us.

  1. I used to think I knew it all,
and my wisdom knew no bounds.
But that was me, before the fall,
    and my stupidity astounds.
I used to think I was the toast
    of the writing landscape,
    and I would routinely boast
of my need for tights and cape.
But alas, I am no Superman,
and what chills me to the marrow
    is that God’s mysterious plan
makes me something of Jack Sparrow,
and the company in which I belong
makes it up as we go along.
