I heard God call my name,
and so I ran and hid.
I have learned the cost and pain
of doing as He bid.
But it’s kinda useless to avoid
a big omniscient Critter,
mighta been a chase that He enjoyed,
but in losing, I was bitter.
Got up, cleaned off, and tiredly said,
“So what d’you want THIS time?
More talk about not being dead,
and all of it in rhyme?”
God smiled, said sorry I’m not healthy,
then offered to pose with me for a selfie.
Please post that selfie . . . that’s one we all want to see!
