The Best Name

Philippians 2:10-11 (NIV)
At the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

There’s no better name anywhere, any time.

  1. I always thought the bestest name
was one all folks would know,
but my parents blew it, all the same,
    and didn’t call me Joe.
I thought it would be excellent
    for an American Asian man,
but what I first was called was difficult
    to say and understand.
So now I have the name I have,
and I guess that it’s okay,
but there is hope, and that’s a salve,
that it will be changed one day.
When the Pearly Gates I near,
Peter’ll say, “Hey, guys, Joe’s here!”
