God’s End

“The death of Jesus Christ is the fulfillment in history of the very mind and intent of God. There is no place for seeing Jesus Christ as a martyr. His death was not something that happened to Him— something that might have been prevented. His death was the very reason He came.”
Oswald Chambers (1874-1917), “It Is Finished!”

  1. I think I understand it now;
    the pain, the dread, the cancer.
    It had to be like this; it’s how
    God used me for an answer.
    Did He know ahead of time
    that I’d stay strong in faith?
    I sure didn’t; not my line!
    But it was thus, for so God saith.
    And now I cannot even say
    that I wish I’d be healed and spared,
    for I see it each and every day,
    such gratitude for what I’ve shared.
    As Jesus walked that final mile
    to Calvary; was there a smile?

      Did God know ahead of time? “All of the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:14). Yes Andrew, God know.
