Tell Me the Story

“Tell me the story of Jesus,
Write on my heart every word.”
Fannie Crosby, 1880

Lord Jesus, write your story on my heart.
Tell me, teach me, so I can tell others.

  1. To tell the story of the Saviour,
    where do I begin?
How can I describe the pure
    and gentle’s fight with sin?
    How can I relate perfection
    in a clean well-balanced plan
    giving us divine inflection,
    all God and all man?
How can we face the bet
He made, and should we try,
washed clean in His bloody sweat
    while as Man wondered why?
    There’s so much further we must go;
why does He still love us so?

    • Shirlee Abbott says:

‘You’re right, Andrew, as usual. Where do we begin to tell the story of the One who is the beginning and the end?
