Abundant Simplicity

1 Timothy 6:6 (MSG)
A devout life does bring wealth,
but it’s the rich simplicity
of being yourself before God.

“Rich simplicity.” Less can be more.

  1. There’s nowt as simple as entails
    as a cross of wood.
    Upright, crosspiece, and some nails
and now, to go, we’re good.
So can a thief can hang on high,
    or a killer captured.
But no one thought it may come nigh,
    killing God enraptured.
They pierced His feet and then His hands
and stabbed Him in the side,
then found, in all the Roman lands,
    they had nowhere to hide.
A simple killing tool, you see,
brought the Love that set us free.
