No Wisdom

I watched the video: folks clapped and cheered as New York’s governor signed a law allowing abortion up to the time of birth. I thought, “There’s no fear of God here.”

Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

No fear of God = no wisdom. ‘Nuff said.

My heart hurt when I watched this announcement on TV. I just saw a sonogram of my 2month in the womb newest grandchild last weekend. Perfectly formed face, hands, legs, fingers-beautiful. My son informs me this week test run shows the baby may have a defect or possibly Downs Syndrome. This baby is already so loved by me and is perfectly formed and planned by God before the foundation of the world. God’s creation. I sometimes ask myself how many of us would not be here if these abortions were allowed in the 50s and 60s. I pray for people to fear God and turn away from this. And I am excited for this new family member of mine to arrive- perfectly formed by God- just the way God planned for this child to be.

I agree, Karen. One of my uncles had Downs Syndrome, and he was such a joy. I once asked my dad if my uncle had ever been angry–after long thought, my father concluded that this dear man had never expressed any anger. Granted, he couldn’t be left home alone, but no one had a happier outlook on life.
