Starting Fit

Got a 2019 resolution? How goes it?

• Already broken!
• I’m still thinking about it
• Time will tell

Last week I shared my “one word” resolution, fit, taken from “fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:63 NIV).

It’s my nature to delay, put it off, think it through. I decided to start by studying other translations. Look what I found:

Luke 9:63 (MSG)
Jesus said, “No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day.”

Methinks I should get started. Now.

  1. What? Not put off today what you can do tomorrow? I like your word and the depth that goes with it.

Funny, Norma, how God packed one of my defects of character into that little word, making it mean more than I first thought. God has such a way with words!

You’re fortunate, Kathy, to have the opportunity to teach (and be taught by) these dear little ones. Bless their sweet souls!
