Shelter in a Forgotten War

Christians in the northern region of Myanmar have been suffering the same fate as the Muslim Rohingya in the west–religious persecution. Open Doors monitors persecuted Christians in more than 60 countries and offers this update:

“It has been called ‘a forgotten war’ and is increasingly referred to as flat-out genocide of Christians in Kachin state–because they choose to follow Jesus instead of Buddhism.”

More than 400 villages and 300 churches have been destroyed. 130,000 people have fled their homes.

Watch over your Kachin children, Lord, protect them. Be the shelter for their bodies, souls and spirits.
