“Aren’t you upset?”
“Why are you so upbeat?”
“How do you do it?”

This is one that really resonates with me. So many people just don’t believe that though I’m dying, I’m happy, and that I accept that pain has purpose, even though I can’t see it, and that it may be forever beyond my understanding.
It’s my job to get on with life, regardless…and it’s my job to be upbeat, to which I often get the discouraging retort, “If you say so.”
Ugh.
You’re a man of hope–hope for today, hope for eternity–and you’re not afraid to say so. That’s what counts.
