War and Peace

Where do you fall on the “war and peace” scale?

  • I want us to get them before they get us
  • I’m all-in for peace
  • I believe in peace through strength

Let’s take a lesson from the book of Judges.

Judges 6:12, 23 (NIV)
When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior” . . .

The Lord said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid.”

We can go to war without God. But without God, there is no peace.

  1. War is the obligation to those we protect, and peace may be the legacy for which we pray in posthumous days.
