Blessings are where you find them…recently I got “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” from the library, and in the soundtrack discovered this gem, a love song to Lake Shore Drive, in that City by the Lake which forever holds my heart…
I’d never heard that one before, thanks for sharing it, Andrew. Great photos, too, but lacking one of my favorite Lake Shore Drive memories: we heard the radio announcement that LSD was closed due to freezing waves. Hubby said, “This we gotta see.” So we bundled up the boys, drove to the edge of Lake Shore Drive and walked the last block. Waves were crashing over the rocks, freezing in midair. We heard the tinkle-tinkle-tinkle of ice bits hitting the pavement. We were in awe . . . for about 30 seconds, when we all turned our backs to the wind and hurried back to the car. Coldest best memory ever.
That is SOOOO…uh, cool!
