What’s outside your comfort zone?
- Public speaking terrifies me
- I cling to the comfort of my steady paycheck
- I’m uncomfortable in a new place away from people I know
God doesn’t call us to be comfortable.
Is God calling you to step into an uncomfortable place? To tell others what Jesus has done for you, to let go of your lifestyle, to go somewhere new? To step out in faith?
Good topic.
The life I had has been wrecked; my dreams and aspirations are dust on the wind, and what I do now is simply the necessary, encouraging and helping my wife, taking care of the dogs, and offering what encouragement I can to my friends.
That’s all I can do now.
And it’s enough. Surprisingly so.
In God’s view, and in the view of the folks on the receiving end, your encouragement is a treasure of great value, Andrew, more than the value of your dreams and aspirations now dust in the wind. It is value measured in God’s currency–spiritual growth in others.
Thanks, Shirlee.
