The Bible Is Not Boring

blueprint

I start my day with some Bible time.

Philippians 3:13-14 (ESV)
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Lamentations 3:22-23
His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.

It’s never the same way twice.bless soul pic

  1. I couldn’t agree with you more. The Bible is NOT boring. It seems like every time I read through it, I find new nuggets that leave me asking, “When did God put THAT in here?!”

I love that His word is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. Thanks for the reminder of that, and for the verses you shared.

    • Yes, Jeanne, I often question how I’ve missed something for so long. I just realized that the Genesis passage about the rainbow says that God will see it and remember. And all this time I thought it was WE will see and remember.

  2. In a good translation, no, not boring. But for me the KJV is a yawner.

And the genealogies are always painful.
