Prayer à la Patrick Henry

Rock solid

“No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue.”  Patrick Henry (1736-1799)

Lord God, may our presidential candidates be steeped in justice, moderation, temperance, frugality and virtue. Amen.

For some of them, this could be a whole new hot-water experience.bless their souls.jpg

  1. Well, miracles can happen…

But I hope that, in the absence of these personal qualities, they at least delegate to people who are closer to the mark.

  2. Agreed, Andrew. I often pray for godly Josephs and Daniels at work in our government at the behest of ungodly leaders.
