Proverbs 11:11 seems appropriate for Veterans Day:
By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted.
To all you upright veterans who have exalted our nation through your service, THANK YOU.
Thank you, Shirlee. We have a few in the military right now. My oldest son is in the navy, my son-in-law is in the Air Force, one nephew serves as a Ranger and another as an army officer. They aren’t veterans but, I trust, will be some day. Thanks for the encouragement.
Our son and one nephew served in the Navy. Another nephew has made the Navy his career. My father-in-law was in a plane on a bombing mission when word came that WWII was over. He says there was much joy in cramped quarters.
