I KEEP IT SHORT & SIMPLE.
Why?Almost half of American adults read below high school level. God looks at your heart, not your reading skills. Big faith can be built on simple words.

Got Wisdom?
James 1:5 (NIV)
If any of you lacks wisdom,
you should ask God,
who gives generously to all
without finding fault,
and it will be given to you.

Teach Wisdom
I read someplace that we’re failing to teach our children wisdom. What wisdom have you passed on to the next generation?
- Actions have unintended consequences
- The end does not justify the means
- Good intentions don’t justify a bad outcome
Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
“Fear of the Lord,” not as in fear that he will strike me with a thunderbolt and turn me into a pile of ashes.
Fear of disappointing him.
Fear of messing up his good plan for me.
Fear of making others think less of God.
True Shelter
Sometimes I want to run away from the news. There’s so much negativity. I don’t know what’s true and what’s not.
Hebrews 6:18 (NLT)
. . . it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
Want the truth, only the truth? God is your answer.
Just Do the Right Thing
Years ago, I asked an older gentleman how he handled dueling demands. Charlie leaned back in his desk chair and gave me a fatherly smile. “It’s not hard,” he said as he tucked his thumbs in his suspenders. “Just do the right thing.”
Charlie’s been gone for years. But rarely a week goes by that I don’t hear him behind me, “Just do the right thing.”

The Right Questions
Let’s take another look at the most common reasons for an abortion:
“The timing is wrong.”
It’s not about now . . . what about 5, 10, 40 and 80 years from now?
“I can’t afford a baby.”
What, besides money, can you give your baby?
“I have issues with the father.”
The traits that make a man a good father make him a good man. Why are you in a relationship with a man who isn’t good?
Romans 15:9 (TLB)
May God who gives patience, steadiness, and encouragement help you.
