Ezekiel 12:1-2 (NIV)
The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.
Do I count myself among the rebellious people who cannot hear the Word of the Lord? Possibly. I’m surrounded by competing messages. Am I listening to the right words?
Good morning, Lord. I hear and read mixed messages. I try to make sense of them, but it’s hard to sort right from wrong. Teach me to use the wisdom of Your Word and the nudge of Your Spirit to identify what is right and good. Lead me away from things that sound fine but don’t line up with Your truth. Give me ears to hear Your voice above the clamor of our culture.
