Everybody (including me) has an opinion about the state of current affairs. We think we’re right.
What if I’m wrong?
James 4:14-17 (ESV)
… What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Good morning, Lord. My opinions will pass away like the morning mist, but Your Word endures forever. Teach me to look to Your wisdom to guide my life and not depend on my own understanding (or the so-called “truths” of my culture). I trust You, O God, to direct my path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Amen! Thank you for your posts. They often encourage (and convict) me. 😊❤️
I appreciate your encouragement, Charlene. These posts grow out of my own conversations with God — and yes, His Word convicts me and points me in a new direction.
Thank you so much for this perspective today, Shirlee. My opinion (no matter how strong I feel it) cannot be compared to the Lord’s and it will pass away like mist. So very true and actually quite a relief! God bless you.
I try to let the Word of God guide my opinions, Carolyn, but all too often the message of my culture plays a part. I wind up praying, “I didn’t get it quite right, did I, God?”
