Pantry

Your waiting room may also be a pantry.

Stock up while you wait.

Isaiah 55:2-3 (ESV)
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live.

Good morning, Lord. Forgive me for thinking wait time is wasted time. I can — and should! — fill those waiting days and hours reading Your Word, singing songs of praise, drawing closer to You.

Teach me to stock the storage shelves of my soul with good things while I have the time, so that there will be plenty to get me through any hard times ahead. Holy Spirit, show how me how to put wait time to good use, in Jesus’ name.
