Step out in Peace

Ephesians 6:15 (NLT)
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

Are you all dressed up and ready to go? Don’t forget your best shoes.

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation …

Good morning, Lord. Thank You for the good news of peace and salvation. It puts the spring in my step, even when the road is rough. It lights my way, especially when the world is dark. It empowers my forward motion, even when I can’t see the path ahead. It keeps my feet on the narrow way, even when the crowd heads in a different direction. I step out in peace, knowing You are with me.

I’ve always looked forward to your Pr31 comments and devotions, and am now encouraged by your blog. Thank you.

I had never quite thought of these verses this way, to daily, PUT ON the shoes of PEACE. Peace – what my heart, my life, my world, and the world needs. He gave me these shoes of peace and salvation, but I still need to DAILY slip my feet in to those shoes. Wow, what a thought.

I live in Mexico but am from the United States. Shoes for me are flip flops, year round.😊 I used to be a teacher, so I connect with your school stories.

Thank you ! How much I need this peace, and how much the world needs the Peace that only Jesus can give. I claim this blessed peace for all of us especially today and in this Advent season 🙏

Claim peace … during Advent and beyond. May God’s peace go with you every step of every day, Erica.
