Joy Full

John 15:10-11 (ESV)
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

Imagine a fuel gauge for your joy — E on one side, F on the other. Does the needle point to F

If my joy isn’t full, I need to fill my tank with love and obedience.

Good morning, Lord. All too often, I look for joy in the wrong places: in possessions, job or popularity. Forgive me. I know my joy comes from You, from Your Word, from my hope of heaven. Align my desires with Your plan. Teach me to love and obey. Lead me in paths of righteousness. Fill my heart with the joy of Your eternal presence.

Amen! Thank you for your encouraging (and often convicting) writings. May the Lord continue to use you to encourage us to keep our eyes on Him. God bless!

Thank you, Charlene, for your encouragement. Many of these posts come out of my own meditation and reflect my own moments of conviction. I continue to be God’s work in progress, always with lots of room for improvement.
