A contemporary Christmas song (originally written by Chris Eaton and rewritten by Amy Grant) includes this beautiful prayer:
“Breath of Heaven,
hold me together.”

Oddly enough, my blog post tonight is called ‘Heaven’, because, well, I have been there and back.
I would say without a doubt
(been dead and gone and back again)
that there is a bright way out
of the haunting grip of pain,
a place to which we all can go,
a place I’ve seen and do believe
that’s made for us, choosing to know
that we merely must receive
the gift He holds in nail-rent hand,
the ransom paid to break our sin;
even those who don’t understand
the Bible talk can take this in,
and look into a future place
of love and song and untold Grace.
