Psalm 33:11 (MSG)
God’s plan for the world stands up,
all his designs are made to last.
It’s simple: no one (not even you) has a plan better than God’s.
Psalm 33:11 (MSG)
God’s plan for the world stands up,
all his designs are made to last.
It’s simple: no one (not even you) has a plan better than God’s.
The plans I made have gone awry,
and I am left here in their wrack;
God alone can tell me why,
but I can never have them back.
I thought they might meet approval,
but it seems that I was wrong,
though on a long review’s perusal,
I cannot see where blame belongs.
There were prayers I might have prayed,
but I felt so very close to Christ,
and while my dreams might be delayed,
I knew not they’d be sacrificed.
I accept the fate that’s at my door,
but why, Lord, did I ask for more?
Dreams delayed, not sacrificed. You pack deep truths into your poetry, Andrew.
Have to say, the truth is really starting to hurt.
Reaching kind of deep now.
