Psalm 34:7 (ERV)
The Lord’s angel builds a camp
around his followers,
and he protects them.
As you pray for the schools God puts on your heart, picture an angel army setting up camp around the building. Put in the call for help before it’s needed.
We need prayers for safer schools,
but evil’s all around,
and the staff should have the tools
to defend, and stand their ground.
We might have learned from Ma’alot,
kids are targets to be harmed.
Gun-free ones are so much rot,
and teachers should be armed.
Our world has loosed malevolence
in kicking God on down the street,
so we must turn to violence
and kill the devils that we meet.
I’m so sorry that it’s come to this,
but a drop-off should be no goodbye kiss.
Prayer is my weapon of choice, Andrew. Likely I’d shoot as bad as I bat; my depth perception has always been a bit off.
I kind of hew to the old saying, “God made men, and Sam Colt made them equal.”
