You pray for something, and it doesn’t happen. What do you do?
- I pitch a fit
- I whine
- I bargain
- I pout
If God did everything the way you–not He–wanted, He wouldn’t be God. Bad behavior on your part isn’t going to wear Him down, change His mind or guilt Him into giving in.
God, I really have to say
that You’re not efficient.
I told you, I must have my way,
and yet, you seem indifferent.
I am surely not a diva;
I am a guy, after all,
but ignored? I get a fever,
and will give Your boss a call.
Yes, I understand you run this show,
and that there is not greater might,
but I really thought that you would know
the customer is always right.
So on the ball please, my good Chap,
and meanwhile I shall have a nap.
I have suggested to God, more than once, that He could work a wee bit more efficiently in the short term. Not surprising that a few months later, I’ve conceded He was right and I was wrong.
Kind of annoying how He’s right all the time.
