We’ve a Story to Tell

“We’ve a story to tell to the nations,
that shall turn their hearts to the right.”
H. Ernest Nichol, 1896

Mark 16:15 (NIV)
Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to all creation.

Tell the story–with your words, your actions, your prayers and your love.

  1. I learned a gospel drenched in blood,
and knew I owed my very breath
to a love that spanned the Flood,
and I’ll preach it to my death.
I’ve already lost a job or three
    to a faith I wouldn’t hide,
to which my reply…well, you know me
was to kick a boss’ backside.
I was really doing them a favour,
and since I’m not the best of talkers,
having my boot their butt belabour
saved ’em sitting with the mockers.
They say violence isn’t a cure,
but ’till it’s tried, who knows for sure?

“A gospel drenched in blood.” It took me years to see the scarlet thread woven through all of Scripture, Genesis to Revelation. The blood is life–physically and spiritually.
