Thy Will, Not Mine

I say, “not my will but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). Do I mean it?

Lord, your will be done in my child’s life–even if that takes him far away, or puts him in harm’s way, or sets him in a place of poverty. May he be exactly where you want him to be.

Make me want what you want, Lord God.

  1. Though I reserve the right, after a day that was as thoroughly miserable and pain wracked as this one, to think that maybe God was reading His own ‘to do’ memos backwards.

I have faith that God never gets it wrong, Andrew. But that doesn’t mean that I understand. Praying for some God-winks today that bring you comfort and joy.
