The Horrible Beautiful Cross

Rock solid

In 1912,  George Bennard was heckled for his faith at a revival service.  He was so disturbed by that event that he wrote “The Old Rugged Cross.”

“In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
 A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
 To pardon and sanctify me.”

Today, of all days, this is our song. cross
