Restoring My Soul (Wednesday)

Architect

Restoration is a process of tearing down and rebuilding. It is messy, sometimes painful. When the destruction and construction hurt, it’s tempting to scream at God, “Just stop it!”

Ages ago, I started a workbook on prayer. The first lessons were great. Then I got uncomfortable . . . this was going to change my life. I put the workbook on a shelf and ignored it for six months Thankfully, God refused to leave the renovation of my soul half done.

Intimacy in prayer cost me. God ripped out some worldly habits and commitments. My only regret–that it took so long.bless soul pic
